Guest artist Eileen Maucott will take you from a raw dirty gourd from the field,all the way to a finished piece of art. You will begin by washing a gourd, cutting the top, and scraping the inside to clean it. Dyes and inks will be applied to achieve color. You'll have the option of finishing the top of the gourd with basketry techniques, or the natural rim. Burning into the gourd will be introduced. This will be a two part workshop starting Saturday…
